A Tale of Two Penpals
I had planned this post for the week of Thanksgiving, as I was thinking of what I’m the most thankful for this year – and it’s PEOPLE and the interaction with them in person that I miss more than anything. But, I was thwarted by a virus – no, not THAT virus, but a computer virus my website got! Fortunately, I called in my tech support team and it was resolved in 24 hours – whew! So here is the long-awaited post about a VERY long friendship…fix a nice drink and put your feet up for this one! Once upon a time, a little girl from a farm in Kentucky…

So……it’s time to use more autumnal colors with lightweight fabrics. Does that call for a separate in-between wardrobe? No! It just calls for some creativity and planning. No ads or gifted products here, but a couple of good suggestions… My first example is this much-loved linen dress purchased last year in Italy. A puchase made in minutes before a shop closed, to tide me over…

What’s influencing me this month
This is one of my regular posts to share what I’m watching, reading, listening to and following. I hope you’ll find some things that pique your interest. Netflix – Marco Polo This series was introduced to me by my genius niece Vivian on our vacation, and we binged-watched our way through 6 episodes while in North Carolina. My best description of this is Game of Thrones meets with Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. This was released by Netflix in 2014, and was the 2nd most expensive TV series ever made, after GOT. I don’t understand why it wasn’t better promoted or a bigger hit. It was filmed in places like Khazakstan…
