Well, hello there!
Yes, I’ve taken the plunge and decided to start a blog. Is it because all the cool kids are doing it, or because I think I’ll make so much money, I can quit my day job and work from home? Erm, no.
I have many blogs I follow as time allows, which I really enjoy. I learn things about fashion, travel and food (all my favorite things), and get fascinating insights on people’s lives in places I’d like to visit or live. Their posts are like letters from friends – remember back in the day when we had to write real letters, on actual paper?
I don’t confuse them with REAL friends (and I do have some absolute treasures in that department – I’m sure you’ll be hearing about them!), but I enjoy interaction through commenting on their posts, and I figure that’s what the Comments are for, right? I am a champion commenter, because I have definite opinions, and I believe in making them heard. I actually have made one friend In Real Life, who is my blogging Fairy Godmother (thank you, Jodie & Rob!)
I’d like to share some of those opinions in this blog, as well as stories, memories and insights. I hope to make you laugh, maybe cry occasionally, and scratch your head and say “Hmmm….”
I still have a full-time job, a wonderful husband, responsibilities on my family farm, sing in 2 choirs and a fairly full social life, so although I’m hoping to post weekly, we’ll see how that goes!
So buckle up, and let’s see what mischief we can get into, shall we?

Hello, MK!
I think Jodie is the George Bailey of the blogging world. 🙂
I will enjoy visiting you, and already like your writing style. I hadn’t realized you have a farm…lucky!!! (Not underestimating the work, though.)
Blogging is like today’s version of pen pals, but we write to a group and respond as individuals. Hope to visit you regularly…this lockdown thing certainly offers increased opportunity!

Welcome Em, glad to have you on board! Jodie as George Bailey gave me a good laugh 🙂 Blogging and pen pals such such an apt analogy – well-done! You live in upstate NY, yes? I lived for 3 years in Rome when my ex-husband was stationed at Griffiss AFB. Loved it, and man, can I drive in snow! I’d be working on my next post, but the paying job keeps getting in the way….
Stay well and safe!
